The Best
of
All Time.
Four Decades of Design That Made Champions.
In 1977, Bruce Caldwell founded FiberSport to produce the best pole vault pole of all time. Early FiberSport poles were immediate performers — Caldwell’s designs helped Billy Olson, Earl Bell, and Wally Kozakiewicz set records, including at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, where Wally captured the world record twice and won Olympic Gold. That same design pedigree now lives in our carbon-fiber poles and the FiberSport discus line.
A Legacy, Year by Year
Bruce Caldwell sets out to build the best vaulting pole ever made. His designs quickly power record-setting athletes and an Olympic Gold in Moscow.
The ESSX pole — built on updated FiberSport patterns — becomes another milestone in vaulting-pole history. The company goes public in 2000 under the symbol ESXS.
Caldwell returns to producing poles for world-class athletes — including Sam Kendricks, who sets both indoor and outdoor American Records.
At the top of the field, the ESSXsport Corp and ESSX pole brand is sold to UST Mamiya Golf and joins their Recoil brand.
Bruce rejoins EonlineSports.com, adding US distribution of the world-famous Nelco Discus and RockBack pole bags.
New carbon-fiber technology and 40+ years of design experience produce the best-of-the-best lineup — including a pro-series pattern and the new FiberSport discus brand. The company acquires the RockBack bag patent from inventor Bernie Miller.
